DNTG 50th Anniversary

Dallas Needlework & Textile Guild was chartered in the summer of 1975 and officially joined the Embroidery Guild of America (EGA) in January 1976. We’ll start our yearlong anniversary celebration at the May luncheon.

 

The 50th Anniversary committee is excited to announce our theme is:

Texas Wildflowers and Dragonflies.

 

For the 50th anniversary, we have lots of fun activities planned.

• A Stitch-A-Long (SAL) published in the newsletter beginning with the May/June issue

• Free giveaways each month at our general meetings beginning in September

• Four projects for purchase

   

➢ September: 50th anniversary nametag (stitched and beaded versions)

➢ November: Wildflower ort box/pincushion (cross stitch and hardanger)

➢ January: Scissor case and fob (stitched and beaded versions)

➢ March: Needle case (stitched and beaded versions)

  

• Presentation of “Protecting the Twelve” cross stitch animals to the Dallas Zoo in October 2025

• Door prizes at the May luncheon
