Who We Are

Purpose:  To inspire passion for the needle arts through education and the celebration of its      heritage.

Dallas Needlework & Textile Guild (DNTG) was founded in May of 1975 and chartered in January 1976 as a chapter of the South Central Region of the Embroiderer’s Guild of America (EGA).

We have 70+ primary members in the DFW area and an additional 60+ plural members that live all across the US. DNTG members’ interests encompass many areas of needlework including: counted cross stitch, needlepoint, embroidery, beading, blackwork, Hardanger, goldwork, stumpwork, thread painting, Japanese beaded embroidery, knitting, crocheting, and much more. Stitchers of all skill levels are invited to join us.

The chapter meets at The Church of the Holy Communion in Dallas on Thursdays, has a satellite group in Plano twice a month on Monday evenings, and offers many other stitching opportunities for members:

  • A variety of programs about needlework of all kinds

  • Workshops and classes with national and internationally recognized teachers

  • Education classes taught by members on different needlework techniques

  • Sampler and other special interest groups

  • Individual and Group correspondence courses

  • Regional and National seminars

  • Sew days on Thursdays where members may work on their own projects

We encourage all chapter members to attend any chapter activity that fits their schedule.

Come and stitch with us and learn more about DNTG.
